Dr Puskaraj D Sonawwanay

Dr Puskaraj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering from the then Government College of Engineering Pune (COEP), India, where he was awarded First Rank in ME Mechanical Design Engineering 2000 batch at the then University of Pune, India.
Dr Puskaraj’s research interests are focused on Materials Processing, Mechanical Engineering Design. He has to his credit 6 granted patents and 3 published patents. He has published 52 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals, international and national conferences, and co-authored 3 books and 11 book chapters. Currently, he is supervising one Ph.D. candidate and has guided 24 Postgraduate Thesis candidates.
Dr Puskaraj’s work has been recognized with the prestigious ‘Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Award 2016’ by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The award-winning innovation is on the Design of Innovative Retrofitted Tricycle for a Disabled Person. The award is under the category of ‘More from Less for Many’ (MLM).
Dr Puskaraj has organised Training Programs for Industry Professionals and delivered numerous Invited Lectures at different forums. He is Professional Member of SAE and Life Member of Solar Society of India.
